view of earthquake
New Delhi, April 25, 2015 :
BSNL & MTNL announce all calls to Nepal from its network (Landline and Mobile) at local call rates for three days w.e.f. 25.04.2015 as a relief measure at a juncture of disaster occurred due to earthquake in Nepal. Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD, BSNL said “ Due to earthquake in Nepal, there is heavy loss of life and damage to building and infrastructure. This BSNL & MTNL move will help many people to know about their relatives in Nepal at local call rates. This is an attempt to lend a hand to our neighbours and help our people reach their loved ones across the border with ease. The above decision has been taken in the Cabinet meeting ”.

BSNL Employees made Rs.14.88 Cr contribution to PM National Relief fund for Flood
victims of Uttrakhand
New Delhi, March 05, 2014 :
The state owned Telecom PSU, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited today contributed one
day salary of its all employees Rs.148859650/- (Rupees Fourteen Crore Eighty Eight Lakh Fifty
Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Only) to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) as a relief to
victims of natural disaster in Uttrakhand. The Cheque was handed over by Sh. Rajeev Singh G.M.
(Fin.) , Sh. Sanjay Sinha Jt.G.M. (PR), Sh.C.S. Gupta DGM (Fin.) to Sh. Shatrughan Singh Addl.
Secy. PMO . On this occasion Sh. Shatrughan Singh Addl. Secy. PMO said, “This is the highest
contribution by any PSU/individual throughout India.” The Prime Minister has also appreciated this
gesture. This contribution will be very helpful in assistance being provided to the victims of
cloudburst and flood in Uttrakhand.
