• Job Responsibilities of RADIO Unit

  • Creation of long- term & short- term plan and budget for expansion and upgradation of Core Network assets related to Satellite and Microwave.

  • Pro-active evaluation, testing and adoption of new technologies, based on Business needs & Competitor benchmarking

  • Procurement of DWDM, Radio and satellite equipment for network expansion.

  • Expansion and roll-out of VSAT network


  • Opertion and monitoring of Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) Network

  • Roll-out, up-gradation and integration of Core Network (DWDM, Radio and Satellite portion)

  • Liaison with PGCIL, RailTel and other operators for sharing/leasing of bandwidth/fibres

  • Transmission Network Development, operation and monitoring in North East Region

  • Radio and Satellite spectrum management.


  • Co-ordination with Wireless Planning Commission (WPC) for spectrum management.

  • Co-ordination with Department of Space (DoS) for hiring satellite bandwidth.

  • Co-ordination with DoT, USOF and other Government Department.
